You can find a new or second hand book on ktieb.com from a search (or Advanced search) or by browsing the categories and subcategories. To buy a book, you have to add the book to the shopping bag (clicking on the blue bag).

To continue the book purchase request, you need to have an account with ktieb.com and LOGIN. Registration is free of charge - REGISTER NOW.

The requested book can be viewed in the My Books after you click on the shopping bag - . An email will be automatically be send to the seller indicating that there is a potential buyer.

You can check the My Books Tab regularly to know if the buyer has seen your request to buy the book. There also the possibility to 'ask again' which will send another email to the seller reminding him that there is a buyer. If you are no longer interested to purchase the book, you can remove the request from My Books. During this period the book will be shown as active with a green button.

After 20 days, the book request will expire and if you still wish to keep the book for sale then you need to renew the book (from the My Books Tab). 10 days before expiry, you will receive a renewal notice by email indicating that it is possible to renew the request to buy for a further 365 days. During these 10 days, the green button will change to orange.

If the book is not renewed during the 10 days, the book will expire and it will no longer be visible on the seller's list of buyers. Another notification email will be sent to your mailbox. The book will still be visible in the My Books Tab for 5days and you are still able to renew the book. The orange button turns red.

After 5 days from expiry, the request will be removed from the website and you will need to request the book again.

When you register with ktieb.com and login for the first time, you are awarded 100 points. These points can be used to sell and buy new or second hand books.

We use this points system to filter spam and possible mass attacks from hackers. Points are free of charge and once these are finished, you can easily obtain more points.

Besides the ability to buy and sell books, ktieb.com offers the opportunity to registered users to benefit from a book Watch Service. If you do not find a book for sale in a category or when using the search or advanced search facility, you can benefit from the Watch Service.

Click on 'Watch Service' and enter one or more keywords (contained in the title or author or publisher of the desired book) in the field provided and the category/subject of the book.

When you initiate the Watch Service, we will watch out all the new books which are placed for sale by our users. If a book which matches your keywords and category is placed for sale, we will send you a notification by email.

You can remove or monitor search results of the Book Watch from the My Books Tab which is only accessible after you login. You can have up to a maximum of 15 watches at a time.

This Watch Service can also be utilised to monitor a specific subject (e.g. astronomy or history) by using general keywords.
